The Weekend starts

How excited I am! I am now off until next Tuesday, and lovin every minute of it! LOL

Tonight I need to pack for my weekend away and my mom is picking me up early tomorrow. We have a few errands to run which could include EM we'll see. I know Michaels will be on that list though. Then off to Navcan for a weekend of some wobbly pops, great snacks, sleeping, watching hockey, swimming and oh yes SCRAPPING!!!!!!!!!! WAHOOOOOO!! Adding in my bestest friends!

I can't wait... it's been forever since I have seen my YAYA-BUGS!!

Challenge Sunday #3

Good morning scrappers/stampers! I trust your weekend has gone well so far. I hope my US friends are kicking back and enjoying their long weekend, and my Ottawa group is shaking their heads over the ridiculous amount of money they had spent yesturday at scrapfest!! LOL

The weather isn't looking too nice here today... looks like it may rain... so AH NUTS... guess I have to scrap..LMAO

WHAT an EXCITING day planned!!!

Well last night I went out Katie to do some clothes shopping. As we are looking thru the racks don't I hear a familiar voice... STEPH... EEEEKKKK it was so awesome. She was there for a bit beofre having to go to the Sportplex for Scrapfest. Had a great dinner at Kelseys, and then bought a few fun summer outfits. We treated to ourselves to some DQ after that, and then teI headed home exhausted.. VERY FUN!!!

Well today the day starts early... as i sit here typing it's just after 0630..YUCK...LOL In a few minutes my mom will be walking thru my door, ready to go.. LOL We are heading to the Scrapfest at the Nepean Sportsplex for the better half of the morning. Do some looking around, some shopping and just hanging out.

This afternoon I am taking my mom and my girls to the ballet Cinderella at Centrepointe Theatre. We took Alexa lasy year and she just loved it.. I am hoping that Ang takes to it too. LOL

After that we usually go to DQ (OMG twice in a weekend..lol), and then we'll be coming back to my place. John and I are hosting a BBQ for my parents and my brothers family tonight. So busy indeed!!!!

Tomorrow hopefully will be my rest day... I think after today I just may need it!!!

Off early today

Well I brought in Cinnamon buns this morning to my co-workers just cause it's Friday and it was nice out and I was in a great mood. Well I must of struck a happy cord as I was given the afternoon off.. So surfin with my new laptop dh bought me... and enjoying the AC!!! LOL I so do not do heat well.. no wonder the cold north pole and I agreed!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CONGRATS Jordin!! The newest American Idol.... I was so happy for her and had tears in my eyes when she sung her last song after she found out she won. She is an amazing girl, big voice and I think she'll have an awesome career. I still can't get over that she is only 17...

LO/Findings to share!

I actually got to scrap yesturday... I did 3 LOs, 1 card and started a project! I can share one LO right now but can't share the others until the newsletters are out!!!

I did this one of my YAYAs, based on a sketch challenge at Scrapbook Centrale. I have meaning to scrap these pics forever. Katie was very preggers here... and I love that this was one of our typical "natural" days, we just showed up and scrapped...LOL

So I am on my second cup of java, already had breakie... and just surfing. Here are some finds! Notice they are all craft related.. OH BOY!! LOL

Doncha love this idea... it's just a basic ikea storage box that was wallpapered.. Stunning. Can you imagine the creative ideas with the billions of sheets of pattern papers we all have in our stash! A great decorative place for all those trinkets.. Did I meantion I LOVE TRINKETS...LOL Here is the link to the artists blog

OH I LOVE THESE KNITTED SOCKS!!! I am making them as soon as I can! Here is the link (with full instructions/pattern) if you are interested! They shouldn't take too long either!!!! ENJOY!

Oh another YUMMY project. How many times have you gone to a flea market or an antique based store, garage sale etc, where you find a piece of furniture that you'd love to get your hands on. Well this has inspired me! I love this, especially the abstract feel to it. I could see this in my home...LOL Keep your eyes peeled for some prospective pieces folks! I'm a craft whore!!!

Seriously I am.. it's ridiculous really! I cannot stop getting my hands dirty in this and that, and to tell you the truth it's starting to hurt my pocket book! I love knitting and am knitting a cabled blanket right now. I love cross stiching and am working on a Dimensions Gold kit right now too. I am now discovering Mixed Media and bead working and I am afraid it is going to become an obsession. Where does this madness stop????

Then there is scrapping. OH MY DEAR SCRAPPING!!!!! You see it's not just the LOs that I love doing... it's now the altered EVERYTHING! If it can be altered then you'd best believe I want it! LOL And this is the worst craft of all cause it is full of trinkets... TRINKETS is my true addiction.

So beside my little family room chair I have my collection of craft goodies.. and depending on my mood, anyone of my "desires" will be indulged. I am a craft whore.... it's true, but hey if you have to be a whore then maybe this is the one to be!!! KWIM???

PHWEF... what a week!

Well I am home today but this was the first week back to my normal life and routine. It went very well.. but I am utterly exhausted! Funny how you take for granted just how much energy you need to get thru your days. I forgot that my day actually starts at 1600 when I am finished work! LOL I am in a new position and it's going to take a while to learn all the different aspects of it, but I think I am up to the challenge! LOL

Today I am alone, off work, sipping my coffee getting caught up on e-mails, internet stuff etc. Then I am gonna tidy up around here and scrap! WAHOOOOOOO!! LOL

Saturday Findings

Good morning my lovlies.... as I browse the net with my cup of java ( I put cinnamon in for a yummy change), here is what has sparked interest!!!!

First off... I'd like to mention that I was selected as Member of the Month over at my girlfriends Lucy Chesna own website. Memories From Scrap. So a bit of a public Thank You hun.... I am having a blast!!!

1 - Great sketch on Janelle Richmonds blog. She is a sketch artist that I came across.. I think she scraps 8x11, absolutely gorgeous!!!

2 - I came a cross this blog as well. The sketch artist is Erica Hildebrand and her work is awesome. She is also a fellow Canadian residing in Winnepeg Manitoba. Take a few minutes and check out her work here.

3 - Are you interested in reading Company blogs? If so there is a mega list at scrap blogs. Truth be told there is alot more than that on this site so ENJOY!

4 - BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.. saw this on Robyns blog today and almost PIMP.... too funny!

Better Today!

Thanks for the well wishes e-mails that I got .... I had a good cry last night and got it out. I guess you sometimes just need to release. I woke up this morning feeling better and a little more into taking on the world again!! As my mom would say.... I have put on my big girl panties again...LOL

So on to happy postings......

Today I hang on by a thread!

It's been a terrible couple of days. It was suppose to be good!

I got my laptop which one would think would be amazing news right.. well initially it was, until we had to figure out the easy to install wireless router, which still isn't working despite all we have done, and left me with out internet for two days...

I have had huge headaches that I cannot seem to shake. It's just awful and I feel like I am gonna barf any minute... I hate that.

I lost my patience with my children today. They have been very whiny and demanding, they have been fighting, disrespectful, just plain ole bad... I had ENOUGH!!! I lost my temper, and just yelled. I feel awful for it but I couldn't take it anymore... I feel like I need to cry!

I feel like I am at odds with so much. John tells me it's the reintegration process ( and after his tour to Bosnia he felt the same way)but every little damn thing seems to make me sensitive and sets me off. I don't feel like myself.... it just sucks..

Sorry for such a crap entry... but hey I guess everyone needs to do this every now and then. I think I need to step back and reevaluate some things in my life... I am not going to make any hasty decisions today... wait it out, go back to work and into a routine... let things just sit.

Hopefully tomorrow is better!
